Water, Water, And More Water

This step is going to be one of the most important steps to take while losing weight. It’s been said many times before, but I’m not sure most believe it. Well after all I didn’t believe it at first either. This important step is drinking lots of water.

While on a diet a person should drink as much water as you can stand. In fact the more water you drink the better it will help with the weight loss. I also want to point out that coffee and tea don’t equal water. In fact caffeine causes increased appetite, stress, and food cravings. You should also know that stress increases body fat, so not only will caffeine make you eat more but will cause your body to store more fat cells.

I will not sit here and tell you to give up that morning cup of coffee that you love so much. But, it would be a good idea to cut as much coffee out of your life as you can possibly stand. Also you need to cut out soda from your diet; however I’m told it is all right to have a single 12 oz can of soda a day. I would recommend it with lunch as it gives you time to work it off.

Soda should be regular not diet because the sweetener used isn’t good for ones health either. There was a study by the Purdue University that shows a group of rats that drank saccharin (the sweetener used in diet soda) gained more weight then those that used regular sugar. The article does say that more studies need to be done so I put this in this post only for your information. I cannot tell you diet soda is bad only there are studies that say it is.

Remember to drink as much water as you can stand and cut out that caffeine and soda from your diet. And you will watch those pounds vanish.

Once you managed to clean your system from all the impurities that have been building up it’s time to move on. Once you start a diet it’s something you need to do from now on. It’s time to learn how to eat right. This can be difficult but fortunately for us there are many alternatives that we can use.

First, managing your food intake can be difficult to remember how many starches to eat, or how many fruit doses each day. The second is you get just enough food you need for the week or month that you ordered, so overeating would leave you short for the rest of the week or month.

Taking the First Step

When you have found the desire that you need to lose the weight the first step is a good cleansing. You might be thinking why a cleansing? A Long Road Ahead.

Most people that don't have weight loss problems do not understand what we go thru. This blog will provide information on losing weight and keeping it off. I'll add any information I can find and locations that you may use or try out to help you feel better about yourself, after all that is what weight loss is about feeling better.

What upsets me is a person that could sit down and eat twice as much as I do, yet does not gain any weight. These are the same people who tell their friends that they can't understand "why overweight people can't just stop eating." "Just push the plate away..." Sounds simple right? Overeating is an addiction, food becomes your drug. And like any addiction, it is hard to kick.

The hardest part to overcome will be the desire to lose that weight. This desire will be your only refuge found in the dark roads ahead. No one can help you with this step; it has to be all you. Once you've made up your mind that you must lose the weight, then half the battle is won. This desire will be your power over food and will be your reason for saying no. Without it you will fail, so unless you have that desire to lose the weight you'll just be wasting your time.

I was always heavy, even as a child, and had been teased by the same merciless youth that most of you dealt with as you grew up. I even know about the stares from people that sit there and judge you with their whispers. I understand how hard it is to lose weight, and the control it will take to keep it off.

When heroin or crack addicts try to stop their addiction they have hospitals, designed for kicking these addiction, they can attend. These hospitals have success and failures, but what success would they have if the addicts had to use a little 6 times a day. Even smokers would have hard times quitting if they had to take a drag six times a day to survive. Humans need to eat to stay alive so we have to sample our drug (food) about 5 to 6 times a day.
